Scottish house star Ewan McVicar announces huge Halloween show at Leeds’ new Mint XL
The Scottish DJ heavyweight will headline a major late-night rave at the city's brand-new 2,500-capacity venue this October
Leeds is set for one of its biggest electronic music events of the autumn as Scottish house music powerhouse Ewan McVicar headlines a special Halloween celebration at Mint XL.
Hailing from Ayr, Scotland, McVicar shot into the global spotlight with his massive 2021 anthem ‘Tell Me Something Good’ - a track that claimed BBC Radio 1’s Dance Track of the Year, achieved Gold status in the UK, and cemented him as one of the most exciting forces in modern house music.

Since his breakout smash, the producer and Vestry Records boss has built a stellar discography across major dance labels like Ministry of Sound and Patrick Topping's Trick.
Renowned for raw, high-octane sets that seamlessly blend vocal house, 90s rave revival, and underground techno, his arrival at Mint XL marks one of the venue's biggest artist bookings since opening its doors.
The newly launched 2,500-capacity venue in the heart of Leeds city centre represents the latest chapter for the iconic Mint brand, which has spearheaded Yorkshire’s electronic music landscape for over three decades.
Purpose-built for large-scale production, the space boasts a state-of-the-art Funktion-One Vero sound system and bespoke lighting design, giving the city a new flagship home for late-night clubbing.
The space took over the former site of Pryzm on Woodhouse Lane, with an opening night party scheduled to take place on September 25.
