Yorkshire’s Greatest Talent prize to share bill with big names

The top four will also win three days at an iconic recording studio to write, record, produce, and release their own song.

Today bosses at the award winning wildlife park, which now also hosts big name music concerts, launched plans to discover emerging performers with a Yorkshire’s Greatest Talent competition.

The top four acts will perform at one of the Wild Live evenings of concerts to be held at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in August – the full line up will be announced in the next few months.

The winners will each first get to write, record, produce, and release a song with producers at Sheffield's world famous Steelworks Studio, which has turned out global hits for the likes of The Spice Girls, Take That and Bryan Adams.

Their song will be released with a debut performance during their Wild Live appearance.

Auditions will be held from mid-February and are open to all singers from ten-years-old to 55-plus.

Other Yorkshire’s Greatest Talent prizes are to be announced along with a star judging panel which is being assembled for the live heats and semi-finals to take place at the park’s new Evolution immersive dining venue.

Auditions will be held February 15 to 18, with live heats over four weekends in March and semi-finals on May 12 and 13.

The Grand Final is at the park’s Tsavo Safari Lodge on Saturday, June 3.
