The city's own boxing queen Nicola Adams is taking part in the latest TV show which could end up with her re-entering Leeds arena as a different champ.

A host of the celebs and professional dancers, yet to be announced from the latest BBC One TV series, will waltz around the venue and the country performing 33 shows in some of the UK’s biggest arenas.

As a result of Covid-19 restrictions - and to keep everyone safe - the 2021 arena tour will not go ahead, but tickets for 2022 are now on sale for the Strictly Come Dancing Live Arena Tour.

The latest Strictly Come Dancing 2020 premiered on BBC One with the launch show at the weekend.

Leeds born double Olympic boxing champion Nicola, who has many firsts to her name, is making history again as the first same-sex celebrity pairing on the show after being partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones and will be seen dancing with here in the TV competition from this Saturday, October 24.

Role model Nicola, aged 37, said it was important for her to dance with a woman to represent “diversity”.Strictly first showed members of the same sex dancing together last year, but Nicola will be the first contestant to do so.
