The UK’s biggest independent rock festival has dropped 18 new acts for its 2027 return to Temple Newsam - alongside a major historic first that will change the festival weekend forever

Slam Dunk Festival has delighted alternative music fans across West Yorkshire by dropping a surprise second wave of acts for its 2027 edition at Leeds' Temple Newsam - just two weeks after its initial line-up announcement.

Leading the charge of 18 brand-new artists is Canadian punk-rock powerhouses Billy Talent and 2000s pop-rock icons Cobra Starship, who make an exclusive return to UK soil for the first time in 17 years.

They join an already stacked bill featuring Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan, Killswitch Engage, Beartooth, Sleeping With Sirens, The Used, The Front Bottoms, Reel Big Fish, and Less Than Jake.

Cobra Starship's exclusive performance marks one of the most anticipated moments of the 2027 festival season. The band behind defining late-2000s party anthems "Good Girls Go Bad" and "Snakes On A Plane" last played the UK nearly two decades ago, making their Leeds appearance a true one-off reunion.

They are joined in the nostalgia category by pop-punk favourites Forever The Sickest Kids.

Making their Slam Dunk debut are 90s-inspired grunge outfit Superheaven, cult emo icons Joyce Manor, and viral sensations The Paradox - who went from forming in 2024 to earning praise from Travis Barker and Jack White in less than 12 months.

Other new additions spanning pop-punk, metalcore, and ska include gothic alt-metal artist Amira Elfeky, ska collective The Family Business Ltd, Ben Quad, Games We Play, Super Sometimes, Shoreline, Car Underwater, The Pretty Wild, Novelists, BLACKGOLD, Future Palace, and The Haunt.

On-site camping comes to Temple Newsam

In a game-changing move for 2027, Slam Dunk has confirmed that it will offer on-site camping for the very first time in its history.

A limited number of camping pitches will be made available at Temple Newsam, giving fans the option to stay overnight within walking distance of the festival site.

Options will include standard pitches, campervan access, and pre-pitched tents. Campsites will open at 4pm on May 28 - the day before the music starts - and close at 12pm on May 30.

Camping tickets are set to go on sale at 10am this Friday, with general ticket sales already available through Universe.
