Hide AdOctavian, full name Octavian Oliver Godji, is alleged by ex-partner and fellow performer Emo Baby to have “frequently kicked and punched” her, as well as attacking her with a hammer and screwdriver. Mr Godji, born in Lille, is also said to have issued his former partner with death threats.
Octavian has denied the allegations.
Album release cancelled and dropped by record label
Last night Black Butter Records who the artist was signed to in 2019 reacted to the allegations made by Emo Baby.
A spokesperson said: “We at Black Butter have taken the decision not to continue working with Octavian and we will not be releasing his album. We do not condone domestic abuse of any kind and we have suggested Octavian seeks professional help at this time.”
Pattern Publicity who have been representing the artist prior to his debut album’s release also severed ties.

Technique PR stopped working with the rapper in September 2020 after hearing of allegations.
Mr Godji has denied the accusations, claiming that Emo Baby was subjecting him to “real life abuse”.
In a post on Instagram he said his ex-partner was “obsessed and will never let me alone or let me win”.

What is Octavian accused of?
Posting on her Instagram, Emo Baby accused Octavian of a string of attacks, alleging physical and emotional abuse.
The artist also posted pictures of bruises and cuts, which she said were a result of attacks from the 24-year-old rapper.
She wrote: “The first instance of physical abuse came shortly after I feel pregnant with his child. After pressuring me to get an abortion he attacked me for the first time, kicked me in my stomach, burst my lip, attacked me with a hammer and threatened to kill me. I was shortly later asked to sign an NDA in an attempt to ‘gag’ me for 20k, which I didn’t sign.

I was frequently kicked, punched, strangled and dragged out the house with my clothing or hair, he would smash furniture and threaten me with a bat, or attack me with other items like a screwdriver.
“The reason I have decided to share my story now, just before his album release is because I don’t want anyone to look up to this man.
"I particularly do not want young girls to listen to the dark music he makes to celebrate his abuse. He has an entire song about violently killing me with a machete called My Head which in a (since deleted) interview with DJ Semtex, Octavian admits to the song being about me and proudly laughs calling it ‘art', he also has new song on the album named Rocks Smiles which is about two men attacking me and at the end of this song he say he wants to kill me for telling everyone what he has done. I felt I had to share all this and speak my truth before these songs are out.
“This is just a fraction of what I have experience and what I have to say.”
