Wakefield Trinity have confirmed the signing of rising star Davy Litten from Hull FC.
Trinity say they have paid a “substantial transfer fee” for the centre who will join them next season on a four-year contract. Litten, 23, came through Hull’s academy system and made his debut, against Trinity, in 2023.
He has featured 68 times for the Black and Whites, including 42 appearances since taking the number three jersey at the start of 2025. He will join a backline including fellow recruit Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and England international Tom Johnstone, alongside highly-rated youngsters Oliver Pratt, Corey Hall and Jayden Myers.

Litten, who was contracted to Hull until the end of 2028, said: “I’m grateful to be signing for such a great club. The opportunity is something which really excites me and I can’t wait to get started in 2027. As a player you can see where the club is going on and off the field and it really impresses me. I can’t wait for the next four years.”
Trinity coach Daryl Powell is “delighted” with his latest recruit. He said: “He will become part of one of the youngest and most exciting back lines in the competition. He is young and driven, I love his physicality and will to win and we feel he will become one of the premier backline players over the coming years.”
Ste Mills, Wakefield’s director of rugby, enthused: “Davy is a fantastic signing for Wakefield Trinity and one that fits exactly what we’re looking to do with our recruitment. As soon as he became available, we knew we wanted to move quickly and get him to Trinity. He has got a big, athletic frame and brings a real X-factor to our backline, which is something we’re really excited about for next season and beyond.
“Add him to RTS and the exciting young talent we already have at the club and there’s a real energy around what we’re building here. We’re delighted to get Davy through the door and into the Trinity family. We can’t wait to see what he can bring to the team.”
