David Creasser scored Leeds’ only try in a 20-6 loss at Warrington.
Mark Conway added a goal for Leeds who had been beaten 26-20 by Oldham at Headingley on New Year’s Day.

Kevin Dick scored a try and two goals and John Holmes and Ian Wilkinson also touched down for the Loiners.

Leeds travelled to Crown Flatt to take on Dewsbury in the Eastern Division competition, two weeks after losing 8-4 to the same opposition at Headingley.
A Brian Shaw try and two Lewis Jones goals earned a 7-6 victory.

Hide AdThe Loiners lost their first two games of the year, going down 36-0 at Workington Town on New Year’s Day and 17-10 away to Oldham three days later, when Garry Hemingway and Walt Garside were try scorers and Lewis Jones added two goals.

Leeds’ first home game of the new decade was a 28-8 hammering of Hull, when Evan Williams and George Andrews both scored a brace of tries.
Frank O’Rourke also touched down and Thompson added a try to his five goals.
