Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity to feature in Challenge Cup double-header - dates, kick-off times and broadcast details also confirmed for Castleford Tigers and Featherstone Rovers

Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity will star in a BBC-televised Betfred Challenge Cup double-header next month.

Dates and broadcast details for the third round ties involving Castleford Tigers and Featherstone Rovers have also been confirmed.

Leeds’ tie of the round at St Helens will be played on Saturday, April 10, with a 2.30pm kick-off.

Saints’ TW Stadium will also stage Trinity’s ‘away’ showdown with Catalans Dragons, which kicks-off at 5pm the same afternoon.

Rhinos’ tie will be shown live on BBC One before coverage switches to BBC Two for the second match.

Tigers will begin the third round away to Hull KR on Friday, April 9 (6pm).

The game will be streamed live by the RFL’s Our League platforms on a pay-per-view basis, priced at £4.95 if booked in advance or £10 on the day of the match.

The same applies to Featherstone’s home tie against Hull the following evening (7pm).

The other pay-per-view ties on Our League are a Saturday showdown between Salford Red Devils and Widnes Vikings (12.30pm) and two games on Sunday, April 11, when Swinton Lions face Warrington Wolves (12.30pm) and Leigh Centurions host Huddersfield Giants at 2.30pm.

The round’s other tie, between York City Knights and Wigan Warriors on Friday, April 9 (7.45pm), will be streamed live and free of charge on TheSportsman.com’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

Fees from the pay-per-view matches are split between the competing clubs, minus a £1,000 fee to the RFL to cover production costs.

Friday, April 9 - Hull KR v Castleford Tigers (6pm, pay-per-view live on Our League); York City Knights v Wigan Warriors (7.45pm free coverage on The Sportsman.com website, YouTube and Facebook).

Saturday, April 10 - Salford Red Devils v Widnes Vikings (12.30pm pay-per-view live on Our League); St Helens v Leeds Rhinos (2.30pm live on BBC One, coverage starts 2pm); Catalans Dragons v Wakefield Trinity (5pm live on BBC Two); Featherstone Rovers v Hull FC (7pm pay-per-view live on Our League).

Sunday, April 11 - Swinton Lions v Warrington Wolves (12.30pm pay-per-view live on Our League); Leigh Centurions v Huddersfield Giants (2.30pm pay-per-view live on Our League).
