Leeds United hearse offers fans a final farewell in club colours

A Leeds businessman has launched a unique funeral vehicle that allows lifelong Leeds United supporters to take their final journey in the colours of the club they loved.
Lewis Northing, aged 21, and founder of UK Carriage Masters, has unveiled a fully Leeds United–themed hearse, wrapped in the club’s iconic blue and white. The striking vehicle has already caught the attention of funeral directors and football fans across the city and beyond.
For Lewis, the idea was born out of the deep emotional connection many people in Leeds have with the club.
“Supporting Leeds United isn’t just something people do at the weekend,” he said.

“For many fans, it’s a huge part of their identity. I wanted to create something that truly reflects that and gives families a meaningful way to say goodbye.”
Personalised funerals have become increasingly popular in recent years, with families choosing services that reflect a person’s life, passions and personality. Football-themed tributes are now more common, but Lewis believes this hearse offers something truly special for Leeds supporters.
“This isn’t about novelty,” he explained. “It’s about respect. If someone followed Leeds United their whole life, through the highs and the lows, why shouldn’t that be part of their final farewell?”
The hearse is available to funeral directors across the UK and can be used as part of a personalised service tailored to the wishes of the family. Lewis says the reaction so far has been overwhelmingly positive.
