Marcelo Bielsa explains Tyler Roberts' Leeds United absence


The Welsh international has been absent from the last two senior match day squads and missed the trip to Burnley in the Professional Development League on Tuesday afternoon.
Roberts bagged twice in his last outing for Carlos Corberan's side at Sheffield United with Bielsa often relying on the Under-23s squad to provide his fringe players with much-needed game time.

Hide AdThe Argentine though admitted that he was rested in fear of aggravating a potential injury and expects him to make the trip to Bolton Wanderers this weekend with the rest of his squad.


"There was a risk for him to be injured and that’s why he didn’t play the game with the Under-23s," Bielsa revealed.
"But these two days he trained with the first team and he will be in the group this Saturday and obviously there is no problem with him at all."
The Whites Under-23s side ran out 6-3 winners in a thrilling game at Barnfield Training Centre. United striker Patrick Bamford grabbed a hat-trick with Jack Clarke, Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown all getting their names on the scoresheet.
