Adama Traore was responsible for creating the only goal of the game as his rocket of a shot cannoned back off the woodwork and then Illan Meslier's back before trickling over the line in the 64th minute.
Graham Smyth, the YEP's chief football writer, hands out the scores.
7. Mateusz Klich
6 - Some nice movement off the ball. Unlucky to see a shot-cum-cross hit the post. Faded in influence later on and was replaced.

8. Raphinha
7 - Not at his best in possession but his superb numerous free-kick deliveries should have given Leeds a couple of goals. Corners weren't as effective.

9. Jack Harrison
5 - A quiet first half, a similar second half. Nothing came off for him, struggled to get into it and lost the ball a number of times.

7 - A few nice moments, passes and touches. Pressed with energy, first half in particular. A couple of poor decisions in possession aside, a decent showing.

11. Patrick Bamford
6 - Aside from the sublime strike that was ruled out for offside, a quiet night. Service was lacking but so too was his impact when the ball did go up top.

12. Pablo Hernandez
7 - Some nice quick passes to keep Leeds on the front foot. Tried to dictate in a way no one else had. Not everything was pinpoint accurate.
