England international centre-back Mings helped keep Marcelo Bielsa's Whites at bay in Saturday evening's Premier League clash after Anwar El Ghazi had given the visitors a fifth-minute lead.

Mings then took to social media to hail the victory and also commented on United's recently laid temporary £300,000 hybrid pitch which again caused problems with players continually losing their footing.

"Monstrous effort tonight," said Mings on his Twitter page.
