In what is likely to be a tough period for many clubs up and down the country due to the impact of the coronavirus, former Whites stars will also find themselves in uncertain positions.
Here, out of interest, we've rounded up the ex-Leeds players believed to be out-of-contract next month. Would you like to see any of these back at Elland Road?
1. Jonny Howson
The 31-year-old joined Middlesbrough in 2017 and while former Whites defender Jonathan Woodgate wants to keep him on Teesside, no new deal has been arranged yet.
2. Luke Murphy
Murphy has experienced it all with cash-strapped Bolton Wanderers over the last few seasons, though it looks to be coming to an end.
3. Lee Peltier
Peltier signed with Leeds promotion rivals West Brom in January but failed to appear for the Baggies before the season was suspended in March.
4. Scott Wootton
The defender helped Plymouth Argyle return to League One (subject to FA ratification) but is yet to hold talks over a new contract on the south coast.
5. Liam Bridcutt
Bridcutts time at Nottingham Forest is over after the 31-year-old was loaned to Lincoln City, whom he captained for the second-half of the season.
6. Luke Varney
At 37-years-old, Varney struck seven times for Cheltenham Town in 2019/20 but his future, like many other League Two players, is up in the air.
