Middlesbrough next manager odds include former Leeds United, Man Utd and Liverpool men

There are some eye-catching names said to be in the race to replace Wolves-bound Rob Edwards at Championship club Middlesbrough.

Wolves are believed to be on the brink of appointing Rob Edwards as their new manager - and a whole host of eye-catching names have already been linked with the vacancy he will leave behind at Championship club Middlesbrough.

Although there has been a lot of debate about Edwards’ decision to pursue a return to Molineux less than five months after his initial appointment in the North East, what can not be disputed is that he has left Boro in a healthy position in the second tier.

As it stands, the new manager will take charge of a side that are sitting in second place in the table and are firmly in the mix for promotion into the Premier League - so there should be no surprise at the calibre of the possible successors.

Former Leeds United, Manchester United and Liverpool men are amongst the frontrunners according to the bookmakers - with a former Whites coach at the top of the market.
