Strong Leeds United call made for Tottenham Hotspur visit with Whites pair preference

A strong Leeds United call for Saturday’s Premier League visit of Tottenham Hotspur to Elland Road.

Leeds United have been given fresh backing for Saturday's Premier League visit of Tottenham Hotspur despite the improved run of form of the visitors.

Spurs began the new Premier League season by going six games without a victory, Roberto De Zerbi's side taking just three points from their first half dozen games through the draws away at Nottingham Forest and Manchester United either side of another draw at home to Everton.

The 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, though, began an improved run of form for De Zerbi's team who have since won three games in a row, the victories at home to Coventry City and Crystal Palace either side of a 2-0 win at Chelsea lifting them up to ninth place.

Having earlier been bottom of the table, Spurs now sit three places and one point above Saturday's 12th-placed hosts Leeds who have gone five games without a victory since the 4-1 triumph at home to Newcastle United.

Leeds fell to just their second defeat of the season last weekend through the 2-0 loss at Bournemouth but the bookies have made a strong Whites call in making Daniel Farke's men marginal favourites for Saturday's lunchtime visit of Spurs to Elland Road.

In a very close market, Leeds just about shade favouritism in being no bigger than 13-8, fractionally shorter than Tottenham who can be backed at 7-4.

The draw meanwhile is on offer at 5-2.

Leeds also have the first two players in the any time scorer market in which the bookies prefer Whites no 9 Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 9-5 followed by fellow Leeds forward Lukas Nmecha at 9-4.

Spurs pair Dominic Solanke (5-2) and Omar Marmoush (3-1) are next, followed by United's Noah Okafor and Tottenham's Mathys Tek who are both 7-2.

Reflecting the nature of the very tight market, a 1-1 draw is clear favourite in the correct score front at 6-1, followed by 1-0 wins for either side at 9s.
