Leeds United were unable to find the breakthrough at Sunderland but defended well to earn a 0-0 draw. Brian Brobbey had the home side’s best chance while the Whites nearly came close in added-time.
The Whites endured a difficult first-half at the Stadium of Light going forward but remained largely solid defensively, as has been the case all season. Brobbey had the opening period’s best chance after a mix-up between Harry Wilson and Jaka Bijol but James Trafford came out well to smother, his second decent save of the game.
Final third quality was lacking in the second-half with neither side able to break the deadlock. Ao Tanaka and substitute Sean Longstaff both had efforts saved by Robin Roefs but in the end Leeds were made to settle for the point.
Here are your Leeds United player ratings...

13. Sub: Noah Okafor
6 - Introduced just after the hour. Some nice bits of footwork to work space. | Getty Images

14. Sub: Lukas Nmecha
5 - Replaced Calvert-Lewin with a few minutes to play. Nothing of note. | Getty Images

15. Sub: Sean Longstaff
5 - Replaced Tanaka as added-time approached and came close to what would have been a great winner. | Getty Images

16. Referee: Stuart Attwell
2 - Completely bought O'Nien doing his best Ayling impression even when the assistant, two metres away, saw it for what it was. Inexplicably gave Sunderland a free-kick when O'Nien elbowed teammate Mukiele, only to seemingly change tact and do a drop ball. Frustrated both sets of fans often. Quick on the throw-in countdowns at least.
