Leeds United were unable to find the breakthrough at Sunderland but defended well to earn a 0-0 draw. Brian Brobbey had the home side’s best chance while the Whites nearly came close in added-time.
The Whites endured a difficult first-half at the Stadium of Light going forward but remained largely solid defensively, as has been the case all season. Brobbey had the opening period’s best chance after a mix-up between Harry Wilson and Jaka Bijol but James Trafford came out well to smother, his second decent save of the game.
Final third quality was lacking in the second-half with neither side able to break the deadlock. Ao Tanaka and substitute Sean Longstaff both had efforts saved by Robin Roefs but in the end Leeds were made to settle for the point.
Here are your Leeds United player ratings...

1. GK: James Trafford
8 - Two good early saves to deny Brobbey from the edge of the box and then smother him from close-range. Produced a couple more smart stops in the second-half to keep a clean sheet. Calm in possession, even when Sunderland refused to press much to the annoyance of the home crowd. One jittery moment after a sliced clearance.

2. CB: James Justin
6 - Had a difficult task keeping Angulo and Le Fee quiet at different times but coped pretty well. Not able to make a huge impact going forward. | Getty Images

3. CB: Jaka Bijol
6 - A couple of shaky moments early doors, giving the ball away needlessly and almost letting Brobbey in on goal. A good sturdy block on the hour to deny Rigg. Then defended a dangerous one-v-one against Talbi brilliantly. | AFP via Getty Images

4. CB: Tarik Muharemovic
7 - Hurt by a naughty push from Brobbey while in mid-air but recovered and looked solid. Passing options were lacking a little. Almost gave a dangerous one away in the second half. | Getty Images

5. RWB: Jayden Bogle
7 - Probably Leeds' most dangerous attacker again, finding nice pockets and taking the ball under control brilliantly. Final ball never came though. | Molly Darlington/Getty Images

6. CM: Ethan Ampadu
5 - Booked for a foul on Angulo inside half an hour. Gave possession away unchallenged once or twice. Sloppy by his own high standards. | Getty Images
