Leeds United returned to winning ways and finally banished the lunchtime kick-off curse with a 1-0 win at home to Tottenham Hotspur - but how did we rate the performances?
Tottenham survived Leeds claims for a penalty as Mateus Fernandes attempted to chest the ball back to keeper Antonin Kinsky, VAR taking a look but judging that the midfielder had not committed a handball offence.
Neither goalkeeper was seriously troubled, albeit Whites stopper James Trafford made a few easy enough saves. Tottenham’s main threat though came from winger Mohammed Kudus who flashed a few dangerous crosses through the box.
But the real talking point of the first half concerned a Jayden Bogle foul on Mathys Tel who was eventually forced off injured, Bogle catching Tel on his heel and VAR checking for a possible red card but Bogle ultimately cleared after a nervy wait inside Elland Road.
Leeds, though, were hugely improved after the interval and Daniel Farke’s side bagged the only goal of the game with ten minutes left as two substitutes combined with Harry Wilson setting up Noah Okafor to blast home a clinical finish.
Leeds United writer Lee Sobot hands out the scores.

1. James Trafford
8 - Just what the doctor ordered after last weekend's Bournemouth mishap, not that there was any doubt. Very solid display in the first half, saved Tottenham's shots at goal and alert out of his area to clear danger in the first half. Then a huge save towards the end. 2. Jayden Bogle
6 - Heart in mouths stuff when VAR checked his challenge on Tel and struggled to have the impact he normally has in the first half but much better after the break. Not his best display by any means but always a threat. | Getty Images

3. James Justin
7 - Probably United's best defender in the first half with some strong challenges whilst also getting forward with some bright play at the other end. Not quite the same impact after the break but a key cog in the very strong defence. | Getty Images

4. Tarik Muharemovic
8 - Solid as usual without any fireworks in the first half but absolutely immense after the break winning countless headers and interceptions. Monster. | Getty Images

5. Nico Elvedi
8 - Another very solid enough display at the back and just as impressive as Muharemovic, charging into big tackles and just another excellent display. Can't see him coming out of the team even when Rodon is back. | Getty Images

6. Gabi Gudmundsson
7 - No easy task against the tricky Kudus but stuck to him well and also very bright enough at the other end too. But subbed at the break for Bard. | AFP via Getty Images
