Carlos Corberan's Baggies were one of the few clubs not to suffer defeat at Leeds' hands last season, beating Farke's Whites at The Hawthorns and clinching a point in the earlier reverse fixture at Elland Road.
West Brom have dealt predominantly in free transfers and loan moves this summer whilst seeing the likes of Brandon Thomas-Asante, Conor Townsend and Okay Yokuslu move on for fees ranging from a reported £500,000 to £2.5 million.
Leeds have drawn considerably more from purchasing clubs with their sales of Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, Glen Kamara and soon-to-be Brighton's new attacker Georginio Rutter. However, that has left the Whites squad looking rather thin.
Farke made eight changes for the midweek visit of Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup, admitting it was a risky ploy to disrupt the rhythm of his starting XI so early in the season as Leeds were taken to task during the second half.
The 47-year-old is likely to return to the line-up which featured from the start against Portsmouth last weekend, minus Georginio, which created plenty of chances and scored three goals as the Whites go in search of a much-needed three points to jump-start their 2024/25 campaign.
Here is the YEP's prediction for who'll be named in Farke's starting XI on Saturday lunchtime.

1. GK - Illan Meslier
The Whites' No. 1 may have come in for criticism against Portsmouth but back-up Karl Darlow proved no better in the cup exit to Middlesbrough, so the Frenchman is most likely to come back in. | Simon Hulme Photo: Simon Hulme

2. RB - Jayden Bogle
Bogle endured a tough afternoon on his competitive debut vs Portsmouth but showed plenty of attacking flair. He did concede a penalty late on, although was rested for the majority of the match in midweek which suggests he remains Farke's first choice in his position. | Gary Oakley Photo: Gary Oakley

3. CB - Joe Rodon
Hasn't hit the ground running this season in either of Leeds' outings so far but remains one of the few right-sided central defensive options in the squad - and Farke is not minded to give his £10 million summer signing the boot after two sub-par displays. He'll start. | Stu Forster Photo: Stu Forster

4. CB - Pascal Struijk
Struijk struck Leeds' first goal of the season from the penalty spot last weekend and could do nothing for the first two conceded against Boro in midweek. A calf injury to stand-in left-sided centre-back Max Wober means it's highly likely the Dutchman returns to Farke's XI. | Gary Oakley Photo: Gary Oakley

5. LB - Junior Firpo
A difficult evening for Firpo in midweek as Leeds shipped three for the second game running, but a threat in attacking phases, certainly against Pompey. He remains Farke's first choice on the left-hand side of defence. | Stu Forster Photo: Stu Forster

6. CM - Ethan Ampadu
It's hardly been an ideal start to life as official club captain, although Ampadu has enough about him to bounce back from two disappointing results and performances. One of the first names on the teamsheet. | YEP
