Huge triple boost as Daniel Farke names Leeds United team vs Burnley with three big changes

Leeds United team news for this evening’s huge Premier League clash against already relegated Burnley under the Elland Road lights.

Boss Daniel Farke has named his Leeds United team for this evening’s huge Premier League clash against already-relegated Burnley under the Elland Road lights which features a massive triple Whites boost.

Farke revealed at Wednesday’s pre-match press conference that Noah Okafor had taken a hit on his calf whilst Jaka Bijol was dealing with some problems with his hip flexor.

Okafor and Bijol, though, both start, a huge triple boost completed by the full return of midfielder Anton Stach to the XI after his comeback from an ankle injury as a second-half substitute in last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

First choice keeper Karl Darlow also resumes his place in goal as Lucas Perri drops to the bench along with Brenden Aaronson.

The injured Gabi Gudmundsson is the third player to drop out of the side, Gudmundsson suffering a hamstring injury in the closing stages of last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to the Blues.

Farke had said the Swede will definitely miss tonight’s game and probably the trip to Tottenham Hotspur a week on Monday too.

The Whites boss is hopeful the defender can feature in one of the last two games.

Ilia Gruev, though, will not play again this season having suffered a meniscus knee injury in training, the Bulgarian expected back for pre-season training in the summer.

With Gudmundsson and also Gruev missing, Sam Byram takes his place on the bench.

Leeds United vs Burnley: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Struijk, Justin; Ampadu, Stach, Tanaka; Okafor, Calvert-Lewin. Subs: Perri, Byram, Bornauw, Longstaff, Aaronson, James, Gnonto, Piroe, Nmecha.
