Wigan on the ball
5. Wigan have had more of the ball in the opening exchanges but have failed to really threaten in the final third. A few free-kicks given, Mark Jackson unhappy with one in particular. Van den Huevel comes out to claim a through ball. Steady away for the youngsters.
Leeds attack
2. A good start from Leeds, who will be up against it tonight. Hughes is fed down the left and he plays a cross into the back post but it gets a Wigan touch and evades everyone.
Kick-off fast approaching
Both teams have entered the tunnel - kick-off in York is nearing. We’ll have live updates right here from 7pm.
Young Leeds line-up
So... this is going to be a stern test for Leeds United’s young line-up this evening. The Whites are made up of Under-18s or below barring Van den Heuvel in goal and Sean McGurk, who have made Under-23s appearances this season.
Wigan are a strong line-up and have claimed a number of honours at academy level in recent seasons.
As a side note, McGurk faces his former team tonight since making the move in the summer.

Mark Jackson ahead of kick-off
“It’s a cup game which will give us a chance to put in a few of the younger players,” Jackson said.
“We have always had that in our minds going into the competition, that it was a perfect opportunity to have a look at a few of the younger players, and it will be a big test for them.
“That’s what we’re about, testing our players, pushing them and giving them opportunities.
“We’re looking forward to the game against a strong Wigan side, who play good football and have had a lot of success in their Under-18s last year.
“It will be a tough game and one where we can learn a lot about our younger players.”
