Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca warns Chelsea to expect a ‘hard game’ at Elland Road.

Both sides will be defending a 100% undefeated Premier League record when they face up in LS11 on Sunday afternoon.

After beating Everton in their opening game, the Blues suffered disappointment last weekend as Thomas Tuchel’s side twice surrendered a lead to Tottenham Hotspur, who snatched a point at Stamford Bridge.

Leeds, meanwhile, have shrugged off last season’s relegation form and are sitting comfortably in sixth place after taking points off Wolves and Southampton.

But Jesse Marsch’s players know that Sunday’s contest against Chelsea, who finished last season in third place, represents a different kind of challenge.

“I think Chelsea is an incredible team,” said Roca, who signed for Leeds from Bayern Munich in June.

“They play very good football. They know exactly what they want to do in every match, the team I think is very, very good.

"They play with a lot of quality, they have a very intensive team on defence.

"But I think we have to focus on us, we have to be ready for every every moment in the pitch and in front of our fans it will be easier for us.”

After United delivered to expectant fans at Elland Road on the opening day, coming from behind to beat Wolves 2-1, Roca believes they have the mindset to go out and do it again on home turf.

"I think will be a hard game, difficult game for us,” the 25-year-old admitted. “But I think it will be a hard game for them as well.
