In the meantime, record numbers of football fans have been taking to Football Manager to get their fix. For a bit of fun, we've fired up the popular management sim and sent the game into the future to have a peek at who Leeds are predicted to sign over the next three transfer windows.
13. Dejan Stojanovic - Middlesbrough - 5.5 million
First things first, Leeds got relegated and Sam Allardyce is now in charge. Truly, truly horrific. Still, the Whites are still spending, and kick off the summer by landing Macedonian 'keeper.
14. Colin Dagba - PSG - 3.7 million
The Whites may be back in the Championship, but they're still attractive players from the likes of PSG. He's a very promising looking right-back, who is absolutely rapid.
15. Wes Harding - West Brom - 9 million
Right-backs all round then, it seems. The Whites dig deep and stump up the cash for Harding, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by the now top tier Baggies despite only joining the previous year.
16. Andrija Zivkovic - Free transfer
Despite a sensational looking 2020/21 campaign with Benfica, the Portguese giants inexplicably released the winger. He's worth a whopping 19 million, and was quite the coup.
17. Paul Dummett - Newcastle United - 5 million
Not quite as exciting, this one, let's be honest. The Wales international looks to have been brought in as a dependable, if not particularly awe-inspiring backup option.
