In the meantime, record numbers of football fans have been taking to Football Manager to get their fix. For a bit of fun, we've fired up the popular management sim and sent the game into the future to have a peek at who Leeds are predicted to sign over the next three transfer windows.
7. Kenan Kodro - Athletic Bilbao - 5 million
Bielsa raids his former club to bring in a new striker. He's now worth 15 million, so that looks to have been a top bit of business. He was far from prolific in front of goal at Bilbao, mind.
8. Fede Cartabia - Deportivo de La Coruna
Leeds completed their summer business with a deadline day move for the dribbling dynamo, who has again seen his value rocket since joining the club. He's an ex-Argentina international with bags of flair.
9. David Kellett - Crewe - 300k
The 2021 transfer window opens and Leeds United rush out to buy...a teenager from Crewe. He's straight into the U23s, definitely one for the future by the looks of things.
10. Christian Walton - Brighton - 52k
Now, that's what I call a bargain. Brought in as backup goalkeeper, the towering stopper has bags of experience behind him, and looks more than capable of stepping in when required.
11. Xavi Quintilla - Villareal - 3.1 million
Leeds really are enjoying these La Liga swoops. On deadline day, the Whites pluck the former Barcelona youth academy gem from Villareal. He's a versatile defender ready to challenge for the left-back spot.
12. Junior Alonso - Lille - 2.5 million
It's more deadline day drama! A late fax confirms the signing of another defender, this time from Ligue 1. He's a seasoned Paraguay international who spent time on loan with Boca Juniors.
