The Whites held Everton to a 2-2 draw last week in the top flight before defeating Crewe Alexandra in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

United and the Clarets are both winless in their opening two games of the new league term and will be looking to get three points on the board this afternoon ahead of the upcoming international break.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed to Sky Sports that the two players missing today - Mateusz Klich and Junior Firpo - are both absent with illness.

Klich posted a pictures on social media confirming he had tested positive for Covid earlier today.

Marcelo Bielsa to Sky Sports ahead of kick-off: “We had a not very good game (against Manchester United) and a better one (against Everton). There were improvements but they weren’t sufficient enough to be able to win the game.

“We expect a very intense game today.”

On Patrick Bamford’s new contract and England call-up: “In principle they are two very good pieces of news for him and they are well deserved in my opinion.”
