The FA accepted Taylor’s claim of wrongful dismissal after Bristol City challenged his sending off towards the end of Leeds’ 3-0 win at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

Taylor reacted angrily to an 80th-minute tackle from Berardi by confronting the Leeds left-back, who headbutted the forward in return and received a straight red card from referee Oliver Langford.

Langford then ordered Taylor from the field, leaving both sides to play out the final 10 minutes with 10 men.

Berardi will begin a three-match ban during tonight’s Carabao Cup tie at Leicester City after Leeds accepted his dismissal but Taylor has been handed a reprieve by the FA.
