John William Moxon had been ringing bells since he was a young boy. He rang for approaching three-quarters of a century at the Parish Church of St. Helen, In May 1969, at the age of 92, he was getting ready to celebrate 80 years in the belfry. With the aid of a 2,000-year-old funeral mask, several rolls of bandages, wire netting, hardboard and powdered coffee, a museum expert had produced a realistic-looking mummy.
