Westerton Primary School at the junction of Westerton Road and Hesketh Lane. circa 1970. This building was West Ardsley's first Board School and opened in about 1875. It was built on the site of a village school that had been in operation for about 120 years before this. This Board School building was replaced by a new red brick building in the 1980s.
