Number 1 Wellington Place will be demolished to make way for private for sale apartments which will be a mixture of one, two and three bedrooms and meeting affordable and space requirements.

There will be offices built across four other plots eventually housing 14,000 employees and a 250-bedroom hotel.

A revised council transport strategy has also led to plans for a multi-storey car park. Numbers of spaces will be decided later date but will be up to 500.
