Yorkshire housebuilders are winners

Award winning housebuilder Miller Homes has had its efforts recognised once again as its site managers received ‘Pride in the Job’ Awards from the National Housebuilding Council (NHBC) with two managers from the Yorkshire region receiving the accolade.

Shaun Roddis site manager at the housebuilders Lindley Park development near Huddersfield and Andy Dyson site manager at Brompton Fold at Apperley Bridge received the awards which commend the individuals for the quality of build, site management and health and safety at their sites.

“We are delighted to hear that Shaun and Andy have been recognised in these industry awards and received one of the highest accolade in their field,” said Andrew Davies, Regional Managing Director Miller Homes Yorkshire. “The Pride in the Job Awards are highly respected within the industry and shows the commitment we have to building homes to the highest standards.”

In their 37th year, the Pride in the Job Awards recognises site managers who have excelled in achieving the highest quality and safety standards in housebuilding. Every housebuilder registered under the NHBC Buildmark is entered into the competition, with site managers rigorously assessed during the various stages of the competition

“Building homes is not just about construction, it’s about creating homes and communities that last. We also pride ourselves in engaging with our house buyers to ensure they have the best and most positive experience and all stages of their journey with us,” said Andrew. “To this end our managers and their teams work to the highest standards but also create a safe and happy environment for our employees, residents and visitors to site.”

Later in the year the winners of the Quality Awards will take part in the next round of the competition, hoping to achieve a coveted Seal of Excellence Award as well as competing for the regional title.
