The first signs of spring have appeared in Leeds this weekend as blue skies and sunshine have covered the city.

It is currently 11°C in Leeds according to the Met Office - which matches the same temperature felt in Milan in Italy.

This is the highest temperature it has been all weekend, with it reaching 9°C in yesterday's sun.

However, the Italian-like weather is not set to last as Leeds can expect chills with frost and fog this evening according to the Met Office.

Sunday night: Plenty of clear spells this evening, but soon becoming chilly with frost and fog or freezing fog patches forming inland overnight. Low cloud and sea fog is likely to drift in off the North Sea affecting coastal parts towards dawn. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Monday: A largely dull start on Monday with widespread low cloud and fog. Some brightness developing in the west later as cloud burns back to coasts. Rather foggy once again overnight. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: Mostly cloudy on Tuesday and Wednesday, with early fog lifting into low cloud. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with some drizzle at times. Turning drier and colder later on Thursday.
