Also closed today following the bad weather are all libraries and community hubs in the city. Please keep any eye on the council’s social media channels for further updates regarding the potential resumption of bin collections and facilities reopening.

"In terms of any bin collections that have been missed, we will try and collect missed bins over the next two days and will be prioritising black bins. However, if your bin is not collected by Thursday then please take it in and wait until the next collection.

"In addition, all Household Waste and Recycling Centres will remain closed all day. We fully expect them all to be open tomorrow. Any bookings from today will need to be rebooked. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but site safety is always our priority.

"Leeds City Council staff will be continuing to work throughout the day to ensure that primary routes in the city and areas around key facilities such as vaccination centres continue to be gritted."
