Clay Pit Lane reopens after five days of emergency repairs on wind-damaged building
Clay Pit Lane has finally reopened on Friday morning after five days of emergency repairs.
The major Leeds city centre route was first closed on Sunday after strong winds damaged a building.
Workers were meant to start repairs on the building on Monday, but were delayed by further winds.
The opening of Clay Pit Lane has since been delayed three times as workers battled with the weather to carry out the emergency repairs.
Leeds Council's emergency Twitter account reported that the road finally reopened to traffic in both directions on Friday morning.
