"What’s the reason? Yet again, I will have to make up time in my lunch hour so I can leave work in time to pick my child up. Why can’t you get this sorted?"

Another Leeds-bound train left early - causing furious passengers to complain that they had missed their train.

The 6.58 train from Todmodern to Leeds left three minutes early according to Northern's live departures.

A spokesperson for Northern told commuters they are looking into why this happened.

There are also delays across all bus routes in Leeds this morning due to peak time traffic congestion.

This follows severe traffic yesterday which caused delays of up to 30 minutes to buses in Leeds.

A second day of commuter chaos highlights the need to improve the transport system and get the city moving, which is why the Yorkshire Evening Post has launched the Unlock the Gridlock campaign.

Two MPs have now backed the campaign to overhaul the city's "late, inefficient and expensive" rail and bus networks.
