Fire fighters called after car overturns on Whitehall Road

Emergency services are at the scene after a car overturned on Whitehall Road in Leeds.

A black BMW was involved in the incident on the busy road near to the Copley Hill trading estate.

West Yorkshire Police said there were no reports of any serious injuries following the crash.

It follows major traffic disruption around the Armley Gyratory in Leeds this evening (Thursday), after a man was taken to hospital with leg injuries after falling from a bridge earlier in the afternoon.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said officers were called at 4.18pm to Whitehall Road following reports of the overturned car.

The road remains open, although the collision has added to the heavy traffic in the vicinity of the Armley Gyratory.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
