'Strategic' Cross Green development site up for £900k at auction
A former industrial site near Leeds City Centre earmarked for redevelopment has been put up for auction for more than £900,000.
Bids will be invited for a group of vacant buildings at 27-41 Cross Green Lane, just outside Leeds City Centre.

The site already has planning permission for demolition of the buildings, including a former factory and two houses, to make way for 38 flats.
Vision Properties Development Group was given consent for the scheme by Leeds City Council in May 2025.
Now it is being marketed for sale by auction firm BTG Eddisons with a guide price of £915,000-plus.
The auction website said: “The property occupies a strategic position on the edge of Leeds city centre, close to the Leeds Dock area.
“This established mixed-use locality has undergone significant residential-led regeneration in recent years, benefiting from its proximity to the city centre whilst remaining highly accessible.”
Redevelopment of the site was considered by the council’s City Plans Panel at meetings in 2023 and 2024.
Planning documents said people living in the apartments would have balconies and access to a garden space.
It said: “The balconies will offer residents personal ownership of exterior space and the walled garden will provide a communal area for increased liveability and encourage long term residency.
“The building will capture rainwater to be used for irrigation of green roof vegetation.”
Vision Properties said the project would include an office space for its staff.
Planning permission was subject to conditions including three flats being offered to housing associations as affordable rents.
Bidding for the site will open on March 24, the auction website said.
