Police seize takeaway car - and deliver food themselves

TRAFFIC officers seized a delivery driver’s car for having no insurance but instead of leaving the customers hungry they delivered the food themselves.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police roads policing unit seized the Toyota Yaris in Fartown, near Huddersfield, on Wednesday night.

Initial checks showed the vehicle had no insurance and the driver had no licence.

A tweet from the unit’s Twitter account said: “Good deed of the night, we delivered the food after we seized this delivery car for no licence or insurance.”
