I am surely not alone in being heartily fed up of listening to, and hearing from, those who appear to take pleasure in berating the government for sticking up for the UK with its Internal Market Bill.

The benefit of having The Bill on the statute book prevents the EU from employing tactics in trade negotiations that will interfere in our totally independent future status.

Despite this, UK media on mass with the London bubble Remainers, have ganged up on Her Majesty’s government to accuse them of potentially breaking international law if the bill is utilised.

Only in the UK can we not recognise such law is bent and manipulated by all countries on a regular basis. Iceland sent its gunboats into international waters to stop UK fleets fishing in the 70s, destroying our industry. Was that lawful?

The EU has not always complied with WTO rules and has manipulated state aid rules to assist continental steel industries to the UK’s disadvantage. Was that lawful? The UK strictly adhered to internationally agreed 0.7 per cent GDP Foreign Aid and two per cent GDP to armed forces. Many other countries have fallen short on these commitments. Is that lawful?

The UK needs to stand up for itself and show the EU they are in a proper negotiation not the tea party walkover Teresa May wanted to inflict.
