Strictly Come Dancing - Nicola Adams and partner Katya Jones come second from bottom with Grease routine

Leeds boxer Nicola Adams and her dance partner Katya Jones had a disappointing week on Strictly Come Dancing last night when they were placed second from bottom.

The couple danced first with a jive to Greased Lightnin’ from Grease, dressed as mechanics with large quiffs.

Judge Motsi Mabuse told them: “I actually enjoyed that, it just started and it was over - so that is always a good sign.

“It was a bit tight in the middle, you were a bit nervous, but it was on point, very slick, and I like that you’re opening up.”

Craig Revel Horwood told Adams: “The kicks and flicks were not as precise as I think they could be, they could be a little bit sharper, but you embodied that character.”

The duo scored a total of 19 points.

Only Jason Bell and partner Luba Mushtuk's Star Wars-themed routine was given a lower score, with 11 points.

Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice top scored with 27 points after a Dreamgirls-inspired dance.
