‘I caught a ghost’: Paranormal investigator films ‘floating’ figure in Wakefield Cathedral
He remains adamant that there are more ghosts in the cathedral
Footage said to show a ghost-like figure moving through Wakefield Cathedral has been shared by paranormal investigator Mark Vernon.
The video was recorded in 2016 and appears to show a figure floating inside the historic building.
Mark, who has been a paranormal investigator for more than 40 years, claimed it was the spirit of a 12th century monk called Father Daniel.
He said: "I was investigating it for 40 minutes - I caught a ghost, a shadow man, walking past my camera in broad daylight."
Mark also claimed the spirit spoke during the encounter.
He said: "If you listen carefully when it appears, I do believe he says ‘I'm here’.
"He has a bit of a saucy mouth, I'm afraid."
Mark remains adamant that there are more ghosts in Wakefield Cathedral.
