Nicola Adams amuses fans with relatable video claiming ‘no one prepared’ her for being a parent

Nicola Adams has been reassured by fellow parents that she is doing a good job raising her son, after sharing a post claiming that “no one prepared” her for parenthood.

The former boxer, 39, from Leeds, recently welcomed a baby boy with her girlfriend Ella Baig, 23.

The couple, who previously starred on Celebrity Gogglebox, have kept their followers up to date with pictures and videos of three-month-old Taylor Nate Adams.

This weekend, Nicola shared a relatable post about her experience of being a parent with her 185,000 Instagram followers.

“No one prepared me for parenthood, but I wouldn’t change it for the world,” she captioned.

The heartwarming post came alongside another joke-like reel, which is something the former boxer likes posting a lot.

Nicola shared the short reel, with text that reads: “When the hospital discharges me for the first time with my baby”.

In the video, Nicola is seen holding her son and a background voice announces: “This is intermediate, I am a beginner”.

One person wrote: “From what I see you & Ella are doing amazing with him 😍”

Another said: “We all are beginners with the first baby , treat it like fight night 🥊just be confident, do a few positive posts with the little one , it will make you feel more upbeat too”

A third added: “It’s insane to me that they just hand us humans like ‘just make sure it stays alive’ with no manual or nothing 😂”

Nicola has become a regular face on TikTok and Instagram, making an abundance of funny and often relatable short videos with her three-month-old son.

Last week, the former boxer posted a reel which saw her deciding between “alone time” or “sleep”.

In the video she is seen holding her son, with a background voice asking her: “What do you want? What do you want?”

But Nicola replies: “It’s not that simple”.

The three-month-old tot even has an Instagram account of his own, which boasts over 6000 followers. The account is run by his parents and already has 26 posts.
