The data reveals that Friday night is the night most locals prefer to stay at home with a Deliveroo - specifically ordering most often at 8.33pm.

Leeds loves American food the most followed by Greek and Japenese, according to new data revealed by the company.

The first most popular dish Leeds residents order on Deliveroo is a cheeseburger from Five Guys, with a chicken gyros wrap from The Athenian coming in second.

Third most popular is a chicken katsu curry from Wagamama, and fourth is butter chicken from Cat's Pyjamas.

The fifth most popular deliveroo takeaway in Leeds is baos from Little Bao Boy.

Deliveroo launched in Leeds six years ago and more than 1,250 restaurants are available on the platform - with 60 per cent of its local partners as independents.

Harison Foster, regional director for the UK said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Leeds over the past six years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”

Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance or receive food as soon as possible between noon and 11pm, and from noon on the weekends.
