Staff at The New Travellers Rest in Crossgates collected donations from the public and raised funds themselves in order to collect 350 eggs.

They then gave them out for free to anyone who came to see their Easter bunny outside the pub in Crossgates Lane.

They have also organised school lunches for children during the holidays, Christmas hampers, food parcels, and the pub has been turned into a homeless outreach storage space.

Vicky added: "Things have been difficult for us in hospitality, but I figure if we've food in our tummies and a roof over our heads, we'll survive."
