Man taken to LGI with serious injuries after van and motorbike crash in Leeds

A man has been rushed to hospital with multiple serious injuries after a motorbike and a van crashed in Leeds.

It happened at about 11.15am on the junction of Malvern Road and Beeston Road, near the Beeston Hill Church.

The motorcyclist was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with multiple serious injuries after the crash, the Yorkshire Ambulance Service has confirmed.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We were called at 11.27 to Malvern Road, by the ambulance service, to a collision involving a Citroen panel van and a motorcycle.

"A man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.

"We are awaiting updates on his condition."

The junction of Malvern Road and Beeston Road remains closed and a large police scene is in place, with six officers still at the scene at 2pm.

There is a four-way cordon closing off the crossroads to all traffic and pedestrians.
