Police and ambulance have been rushed to the scene of a crash involving a motorbike on Malvern Road in Leeds.

As of 11.45am the junction of Malvern Road and Beeston Road is blocked due to the crash.

Angela Lairdress witnessed the scene and said: "A motorcyclist was knocked over on the crossroads, near Beeston Church.

"That junction there is totally blocked - nobody is going to be able to get through there."

A second eyewitness said: "Hope the lad on the motorbike is alright, just been hit by a vehcile on Beeston Road just by Malvern Road next to the Family Shopper.

“Paramedics on scene.”

Traffic is building up towards the scene of the crash, back to the junction with St Luke's Road and along Beeston Road.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
