Man seriously injured in Holbeck, Leeds - Police issue full statement from live scene cordon

A man has been seriously injured in Holbeck, Leeds today in an incident which involved multiple police cars on the scene.

Five police cars and two police vans were called to the scene at Pleasant Terrace, Holbeck, today, along with an ambulance rapid response vehicle.

Police closed the road with tape and advised motorists to find alternative routes.

A statement issued by West Yorkshire Police to the Yorkshire Evening Post said: "Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Pleasant Terrace at 11.37am this morning.

"Officers and ambulance service attended and found a male with serious injuries, who has been taken to hospital.

"The road has been closed while enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101"
