LNER confirm a person has been hit by a train as services between London and Leeds impacted

Train operator LNER has confirmed cancellations of some services between Leeds and London after a person was hit by a train.

The incident occurred between Doncaster and Peterborough, the official LNER [London North Eastern Railway] Twitter account has confirmed. Two services running from London King’s Cross to Leeds have been announced as cancelled and people have been warned that services are subject to delays and short notice amendments. A tweet shared by LNER read: “It is with great sadness to report that a person has been hit by a train between Doncaster and Peterborough.”

The 5:03pm service from King’s Cross to Leeds, due in at 7:17pm, has been cancelled, as has the 5:48pm service due in at 8:17pm. The 5:45pm train from Leeds to London King’s Cross has also been cancelled, LNER have confirmed.

In addition, the 5:33pm train running from King’s Cross to Harrogate and the 6:03pm service from King’s Cross to Skipton have also been cancelled. More information and further updates can be found on the official LNER website.
