Leeds farm's trip down memory lane
Visitors to a Leeds farm took a trip back in time this weekend.
Temple Newsam Home Farm hosted a series of activities to show people what life was like in key periods of history, including World War Two and the Anglo-Saxon period.
Visitors joined in on a sing-a-long with ‘Dolly Blue Sings the Blues’ and young people were given the chance to don an apron and join Auntie in making butter and scones.
Young visitors were also given the chance to find out what food Anglo-Saxons ate and how to make bread from grain to the platter.
Young warriors were also given the chance to take part in special Shielf Wall Training with real wooden replica seventh century shields.
Historic traders and ecampments also set up shop in the grounds of the historic house over the weekend.
