Leeds city centre road blocked off due to ongoing police incident

New Station Street has been cordoned off by the police, next to the Slug & Lettuce bar on Boar Lane.

Ambulance services are also in attendance.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said that the area is cordoned off due a concern for a person's welfare.

They said there is no wider threat to the general public.

It is not known what time the road will be reopened.
