Leeds Building society staff are all heart

Staff at Leeds Building Society wore their hearts on their sleeves when they raised £500 for the British Heart Foundation's (BHF).

Staff took part in a series of red-themed events in support of the fight for every heartbeat, with fundraising taking place at the Society’s Head Office and branches as part of the charity’s Wear It Beat It day.

Heart and circulatory disease is responsible for almost 160,000 deaths in the UK each year, an average of 440 people each day. There are currently 7 million people in the UK living with heart and circulatory disease.

Trevor Garside, Leeds Building Society’s Head of Direct Distribution, said: “We got involved because we think the charity does great work.”
